Cannes without the Festival crowds
Eleven months of the year, Cannes is a different, calmer city than the one on television in May.

For most of the year, Cannes has little of the crowd most people associate with it. The Croisette is walkable, restaurant tables rarely need to be fought for, and a villa above the bay comes with a view uninterrupted by security barriers.
That calmer version of the city is, if anything, the better argument for visiting — closer in spirit to Saint-Tropez or a quiet corner of Monaco than to the festival month everyone pictures.
